We live in 2MB unit. The wall of the master bedroom is hollow inside. Every night we hear the sound of TV, laughter and voice of neighbors. Can not sleep!!!!!!! Is this really luxury condo? The cheep Waikiki Hotel is much better than here!! Does anyone have same problem?

I had my bike, like many others, locked to a pole on the 2nd floor. (We don't have a bike storage yet) It was there on Thursday, but we went away for the weekend. I Love My Floors!!

Finally, finally done..but so worth it! I just got my floors done & covered the cement with simply gorgeous maple flooring. I love the different shades, the way it feels & how it just opens up the space in my teeny fixer upper. Such a large difference!! At first, I was a bit hesitant spending so much but now I know it's going to improve the value of my condo. I figured, if A & B can't help me out with the punch list then I'm going to do what I need to, to make it a better home. So ...

OK, I'm at the end of my rope on this one. Asked (very nicely, too) for my unit's blueprints for over a year now, and still haven't received a definitive answer as to why it's not available. Is this a matter of national security? Seems an owner is rightfully entitled to their own unit's layout (structural, electrical, etc.). I plan to remodel my unit over the course of the year, and things would go so much more smoothly if I could HAVE THE BLUEPRINTS.

I'm in the process of picking up home insurance for my condo at Keola La'i. Would anyone know if Hurricane Insurance is covered under our maintenance fees?

My loan bank officer once told me not to worry about it since most times, the whole building itself is insured by the building's maintenance fees.

Anyone got a clue?

Parking in Assigned Stalls: Starting this weekend, residents will be asked to park in their assigned parking stalls as Nordic/PCL has completed the re-striping of the parking garage. To facilitate a smooth transition, residents with assigned stalls on levels 4 and 5 will be asked to use those stalls starting at noon on Friday. Got my locks changed & I feel so much safer! Added a peep hole so I know who's knocking too. Funny thing though...I locked myself out without my keys! No way in & no way to get to the 1st floor garage & no way to get to my car. ha ha..had to call my bro to pick me up & pick-up my backup keys from my folks. Whew..good thing Mike, the keyman gave me 4 keys! Now, I just need 4 FOBs too!

Linen Closet

Just got my shelving done for the linen closet... It's OK, but the shelves only extend halfway in (since the 'closet' is really deep and narrow). I am still disappointed A&B allowed this design flaw, along with the water heater in closet, into final construction. We put a lot of faith in them by purchasing without ever seeing the place, and they just shouldn't have compromised on these details.

Door Locks - Can we have the lobby doors locked from the outside for security?

Mail Room - How about a bulletin board so the residents can share info besides online?

Elevators - Can they fix the wallpaper framing the electric window that shows which floor the elevators at? I notice the wallpaper is a bit messy & unfinished like.

Any other suggestions?

Glad we have a few more outlets to discuss our new home... Some of the residents on the Google board reported their kitchen sink rusting. Well mine is starting to rust, too! Started off as small water spots... But now I can clearly see the rust. I was thinking of just replacing the entire sink. Although it might be a challenge since the countertop needs to first be removed. Is this covered under warranty? I'm going to see about scrubbing off the rust... ...

Zero VOC paint

Does anyone have any experience with low or no VOC (volatile organic compound) paint? Supposedly they have significantly less odor emission than regular paints. Only thing is they cost more, so I am wondering if it's worth the investment. I was leaning over my window last week and could smell the paint drying from my neighbor's unit several floors down (they had their windows wide open for several days).

Kitchen Vent

Starting to experience problems with my kitchen vent... The other day I taped up the entire vent because debris (flecks of drywall-like material were all around the vent area. Also, there is some soot that seems to have collected in the openings. A little concerned a central filter needs changing, with all the construction and repairs going on. I'm a little worried about breathing in all that stuff... Manangement should change out the filters ASAP!

I'm on the 3rd floor parking by the entrance to the lobby, and there will sometimes be the smell of urine in/around my stalls! It's disgusting!!! Not sure who is responsible (workmen, pets, vagrants), but there should be more cameras installed in the parking structure and maybe a schedule for cleaning the parking structure before A&B turns over the building! Fuming...

Noisy Kitchen Vent

Hi y'all,

Anyone have a problem with a noisy kitchen vent? I didn't really notice it during home inspection, and it isn't particularly noticeable when the windows are opened during the day. But the noise becomes apparent at night when I try to watch TV. It's a continuous "swooshing" with occasional rattling of some of the metal components. Anyone have the same issue? Please let me know if there is a way to fix this... It's driving me nuts!

Floor to Ceiling Glass?

A local contractor was looking over my unit. Apparently, he mentioned it might be possible to remove the bottom drywall in some of the rooms leaving just the floor to ceiling windows. Anyone know if this is possible? I am excited by the possibility and would like to know if anyone else thinks this is likely.
